Overview
Landsknechts engage the enemy directly on the front line, wielding a variety of arms and armor. In Etrian Odyssey, Etrian Odyssey II: Heroes of Lagaard and their respective remakes Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl and Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold: The Fafnir Knight, Landsknechts are well-balanced generalists whose skills can handle a variety of combat situations, but they received a revision in Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan as the vanguard of the party that acts first to lead attacks.

Trivia
- Landsknecht ties with Medic for the most appearances in the series.
- The Landsknecht class received a refocus in Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan which was carried over to Etrian Odyssey Nexus, Etrian Mystery Dungeon and Etrian Mystery Dungeon 2, so it could be argued the class isn't the same in these games compared to the others.
- Real life Landsknechte were German mercenary foot soldiers active around the 1500s. They relied primarily on pike and arquebus formations, but also famously used zweihänder and katzbalger swords.
