EO3/Arbalist/Subclasses
From Etrian Odyssey Wiki
< EO3
This page has information about subclasses for the Arbalist class in Etrian Odyssey III: The Drowned City.
The information on this page is subjective and is an informational guide rather than factual advice
Buccaneer
- Lady Luck combos with Night Vision to increase night-time critical rate to make the most of your normal attacks. Swashbuckling also adds to the number of normal attacks you make with a single action, though this skill takes a lot of excess skill points to access.
Farmer
- Play Possum keeps a frontline Arbalist out of danger and allows extra opportunities for Braveheart to trigger, giving a small TP regeneration that lets a frontline Arbalist use Front Mortar more often.
Gladiator
- Berserker Vow and Charge are useful tools for increasing Arbalist's already-impressive physical damage even further.
- Combine the Arbalist's deadlier class skill and higher STR with the Gladiator's own attack skills to make the Arbalist a front line damage dealer that hits harder but is much more fragile than a Gladiator.
- In Etrian Odyssey III HD, Arbalist's Snipe and Sharpshooter skills are compatible with Charge.
Hoplite
Monk
Ninja
Prince/Princess
Wildling
Zodiac
- Arbalist's "Barrage" skills can benefit from Zodiac's elemental damage-increasing abilities, such as Etheric Charge and Singularity.
- Singularity also works when attacking physical weaknesses, leading to massive damage on enemies weak to stab attacks.
- Etheric Return restores TP whenever you kill an enemy, refunding the costs of an elemental Barrage skill if it takes out a large group of enemies at once.
- In Etrian Odyssey III HD, Arbalist's Snipe and Sharpshooter skills are compatible with Etheric Charge if the Arbalist is wielding a weapon with an elemental forge, or is imbued with an Oil item or a Sovereign's Arms skills.

Shogun
- The Arbalist's own Class Skill and high STR make them good candidates for using Warrior Might as each follow-up can be quite powerful.
- The Arbalist themselves will attack if using Fusillade.
- Endure can contribute to the Arbalist's survivability.
