A forest composed mostly of maple trees, the seemingly aflame Auburn Thicket is the second area of the labyrinth. Traversal of this area is made difficult by terrain that inflicts damage just for passing through. This is where the Salamox makes its nest, and the exit is guarded by the dangerous Hellion.

In Pursuit of Salamox

The legendary Salamox's nest has been discovered deep in the Auburn Thicket. One brave soul must fetch a Fire Plume to mix the secret remedy.

Reward: 3000en

Minister Dubois speaks of the Duke who has fallen grievously ill, and his daughter is doing everything in her power to cure him. The Minister directs you to the Salamox nest on 8F, as its Fire Plume is an ingredient for a miracle cure. The den will be marked on your map.

Do not fight the Salamox, as you are not strong enough to match it in battle. Once you enter its territory, you'll draw the attention of the Firekings near it as well. They only restrict themselves to the corners of the area, so lure them out of the way to draw the attention of Salamox. Lure it in a circle to get into its den. The Fire Plume is in the deepest square.

Extinguish the Hellion

A terrible demon is said to dwell in the Labyrinth's 10th floor. Those who would press onward must rid the forest of this horror!

Reward: 5,000en

This mission is issued once you meet Artelinde and Wilhelm on 10F. They won't let you pass until you accept this mission.

Continue onward to the Hellion's room on 10F, then defeat it to proceed.

Medicinal research

New medical experiments are underway at the hospital. We ask that you assist them in gathering ingredients.

Unlock: 6F, complete "The nameless flower"

Reward: Medica II

Get a Mint Leaf from gathering points in the 2nd Stratum, or by killing Moriyana.

Connoisseur of leather

Lord Gascoyne collects animal hides, and greatly desires the skin from a rare Labyrinth denizen.

Unlock: 6F

Reward: Warp Stone (game erroneously lists Pole Stone)

Step south from the Geomagnetic Pole and the quest FOE appears. Chase it down to the gather point and defeat the Fleehog.

Volunteer service I

The hospital lacks trained medics to deal with those wounded in the recent shipwreck. Please send help.

Unlock: 7F, complete "Medicinal research"

Reward: Amrita

Bring a level 2 or higher Medic to the bar. If they are level 12-19, you get a bonus 200en. If they are level 20 or higher, your bonus increases to 400en.

Uncharted territory

We would like to increase security on the 7th and 8th floors, but we need more details on their layout.

Unlock: 7F, complete "Special projects team"

Reward: 1000en

Accurately map out as much of 7F and 8F to complete.

Labyrinth stew

The Labyrinth Lunch is a popular meal, but we're out of ingredients! Can you be a dear and get us some?

Speak to Hanna at Flaus Inn to learn the ingredients. You need 1 Moving Eye (from Fangleaf) and 3 Mugworts (from take points in 2nd Stratum)

That ephemeral flavor

I need a fruit from the forest, but it starts to go bad right away. Bring it back immediately!

Unlock: 8F, complete "Labyrinth stew"

Reward: Stonard

Find the King Fruit on 8F sector E-7, then deliver it to the soldier on 4F D-5. The amount of time that lapses between collection and completion of the quest affects the additional reward. Spending 6-9 in-game hours to deliver it gets you a bonus 800en. Any sooner and you get 1500en instead. Take too long and the fruit will spoil, failing the quest.

Smithy Thompson's request I

'Thompson at Sitoth Trading needs certain materials to complete his latest project.

Unlock: 8F

Reward: Fungus Jet

Obtain 1 Fluorite (from mining) and 1 Open Cap (from killing Bigcaps)

Man down

A guild has lost one of its number. To claim revenge, they need an alchemist to help defeat the monster.

Unlock: 8F, complete "The leathersmith's request"

Reward: Flame Jar

You require a level 2 or higher Alchemist to complete the request. If they know Fire, you get a bonus 300en. If they know Flame, you get a bonus 300en. If they know Inferno, you get a bonus 300en. If they are at least level 12 and know Fire Up, you get another bonus 300en.

To summarize, a level 12+ Alchemist that knows both Flame and Inferno will meet all the requirements to get all the bonus money, totaling 1200en.

A long way down

Lord Gascoyne discovered a threat to Lagaard while in the Labyrinth. Someone must put a stop to this!

Unlock: 9F, complete "Connoisseur of leather"

Reward: Beast Bell

Defeat 3 Spectres which are the quest FOEs. Do not let them reach the stairs going down to 7F or the quest will fail.

Toward a cozier inn

Another request from the Flaus Inn, this time to collect materials for their upcoming renovation.

Unlock: 9F, complete "Smithy Thompson's request I"

Reward: Sleep Gas

Speak to Hanna at Flaus Inn to learn what you need. Obtain 3 Red Root and 2 Hardwood from the chop points in 7F.

Specimen collection

The Northern Academy won't hear my pleas. Go with my assistant to collect irrefutable proof.

Unlock: 9F, complete "The dying forest"

Reward: Laudanum

Meet Dr. Stiles' assistant, Angie, at the city center at 8PM. Travel to 9F E-5, near the stairs going down, to help her get a sample. Then, without using Warp Wires/Ariadne Threads and without any party member dying, return to town. Navigate to a Geomagnetic Pole on foot (or via Warp Stone) to shorten the trip.

Many happy returns

We'd like to give the Duke's daughter jewelry for her birthday. Can you find us some precious stones?

Unlock: 10F

Reward: 300-1500en

Upon accepting this quest, one interaction point per floor will become available across the labyrinth that yields stones relevant to this quest. Only some will yield Gemstones, and you need a total of six. The Gemstones are found at 3F C-4, 4F A-4, 6F C-3, 7F C-4, 8F E-7, and 10F D-1.

Getting a stone but no gemstones gets you 300en. Getting 1-5 Gemstones gets you 700en. Getting all 6 gets you 1500en.

Volunteer service II

The influx of wounded Labyrinth explorers has depleted our supplies. We need ingredients for the medicine.

Unlock: 10F, complete "Volunteer service I" and "Man down"

Reward: Theriaca AX

Dr. Stiles just needs 5 Mint Leaves (from take points in the 2nd Stratum) and 3 Beast Hides (from killing Razekings, Redwoods and Gigaboars) this time.

The beautiful Queen

A noble of Lagaard is looking for the last of the Master Craftsman's chess pieces.

Unlock: 10F

Reward: Beast Bell

You need the Queen chess piece to turn in this quest, but you won't be able to complete this until the post-game. Starting this quest will open up a long series of quests where you obtain and trade for the rest of the set before you finally acquire the Queen.

Your reward for all this effort also includes the Ygg Axe, one of the strongest axes in the game.
